Akabeko, is the legend of a Japanese red holy cow. Originally a symbol of Buddhist devotion, the Akabeko is now more known for it’s good luck charms. Sold as souvenirs, the cow is often painted red with black or gold on it’s sides or head. The monochromatic palette and the Klink pattern on the hem and sleeves are inspired by this legend.
